![]() There were holidays that weren't even shopping holidays, that I would - more. You will miss holidays with your family and friends if you're a decent employee, because you will be working. If you do miss a shift, you will be harassed, threatened, or sometimes written up, even if it was the only shift you missed in months. But, managers would stand around on their phones and ignore customers and employees. You can't be on your phone on the floor, again understandable. But, they can change your schedule or call you in via text. For example, you can't call out sick via text, which is understandable. And the longer you do stay, the level of harassment increases. Most people are only going to stay for so long knowing that they are not going to progress. You can have great success and show that you know what you are doing, only to have a bad couple of weeks or even days (due to your customers getting denied credit, can't afford the complete package, weak sales promotions, prices that you can't match, demo products that don't work, products out of stock or other outside factors that you can not control.) and have managers and supervisors trying to micromanage you or accuse you of "checking out." I say trying because the managers and supervisors don't know how to sell anything.Įasily 75% of the managers and supervisors at my store were outside hires because the GM didn't seem to believe in promoting current staff that are trying to stay with the company and move up. My main complaint with my time there comes from the fact that I was hired to work in sales for a specific department, but shortly after completing my training I began being scheduled to work in sales for a different department. My supervisors were also enjoyable to work with and provided help when needed. All of my coworkers were very enjoyable to work with and helpful as I was training. Walked around the Apple area looking at the new 24 iMAC and noticed several other customers walking around and looking at the Apple.Overall I enjoyed working at Best Buy and consider it an enjoyable experience. Went into the store today to shop for a desktop computer. I have found the service very ineffective. I the scanner was not responding to commands from the laptop. I purchased a laptop and printer/scanner form best buy. They seemed to have very low inventory overall, shelves were empty everywhere. I rarely visit big box stores like this but they had what I needed and I needed it quick so it was a great option. ![]() Went to the Geek Squad and was told to take it home and update. About two weeks later I noticed that the trackpad was not working properly. ![]() I purchased a new Dell Laptop from this location in May. Either they don't know what they doing, give you. Maybe it's fair to say that some of the employees are helpful, but the vast majority don't. This place is definitely lacking in customer service. ![]()
